JRC-DLI Workshop on Offshore Oil & Gas Safety - "Offshore Accident Investigation and Reporting"

The Workshop on Offshore Oil and Gas Safety took place on September 22nd-23rd, 2015 in Nicosia, Cyprus.

This Workshop - organized jointly by the Joint Research Centre and the Cypriot Ministry of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance - Department of Labour Inspection (DLI), and supported by the Commission's Directorate General for Energy (ENER) - provided a forum for the experts of the national regulatory authorities of the EUOAG to exchange information on the practices and procedures followed during accident investigations on offshore oil and gas installations. The Workshop also served as a platform to show the latest developments of the software tool for reporting offshore accidental events.

Participation to the Workshop is restricted to the representatives of national regulatory authorities of the EUOAG, upon invitation.

Accident Reporting - Developments of the SyRIO reporting system

  • Status of the SyRIO System for Reporting Incidents in the Offshore oil and gas sector (B. Vamanu, EC-DG JRC, F.3);

  • Demonstration of SyRIO's new features;
  • Presentation of the SyRIO tool both from the Operator's and the Competent Authority's perspective;
